The peninsula consists of a number of small seaside communities with a diverse selection of shops, restaurants, historic buildings, and museums. You can also enjoy horseback riding, bicycling, fishing, and hiking without leaving the peninsula. Diverse festivals with themes such as Dixieland jazz, garlic, kites, and cranberries, can be found April to October. Charter fishing for salmon, sturgeon, bottomfish, and tuna is available May to October.

Follow Hwy 4 to Longview and follow the signs that say to Oregon and Hwy 30. Cross the Columbia River back into Rainer, OR. Follow Hwy 30 West to Astoria, OR, and Hwy 101 north. In Astoria, you will cross a bridge to Hwy 101 north. Follow Hwy 101 north to Seaview, WA. At Seaview, take Hwy 103 north to the blinking light at Ocean Park. Proceed through the light, to where Hwy 103 "T"s (1.5 miles). Turn left, then right onto "N", then left on 295 Place,then right on "I" and follow to the Surfside Inn (approx 1 mile).
