Overview
For year-round outdoor sports and gorgeous scenery, try the Crafts Inn, which was designed in 1898 by Stanford White and is now registered as a National Historic Landmark. At the resort, you'll find an indoor pool, racquetball court, and saunas. The Mount Snow ski area is within six miles. In addition to the average annual snowfall of 15 feet, snowmaking ensures plenty of snow from mid-November to early May. In summer, enjoy swimming and boating on 14-mile-long Lake Whitingham, as well as playing tennis, golfing, and horseback riding. The nearest major airports are in Albany (65 miles) and Hartford (100 miles). From Hartford take I-91 north to Vermont, take exit 2 at Brattleboro, go west on Route 9 to Wilmington and follow the signs to the resort. The resort is located 100 yards from the junction of Routes 9 West and 100 North. Albany airport is 65 miles away. Take I-87 North to NY 7 East which becomes VT 9 at the state line. Continue east to Wilmington. Resort is on your left. Parking is behind the resort. If RCI member is not checking in to the resort, an RCI Guest Certificate must be purchased from RCI for entry to unit, and Guest must also be at least 21 years old.
